Prior to taking a decision of the Riga City Council Applanting Commission regarding felling of trees in publicly available sites and/or in cases relevant to society, or if the tree/s are located at the historic centre of the State significance city building monument “Riga City Historical Centre” (State Protection No 7442) and UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site “Riga Historic Centre” (Defence No. 852) a public consultation on planned felling of trees shall be conducted in the protection zone.
