Riga Municipal Agency “Riga City Architect Office” provides advice on three types of research activities:
1) theoretical works of urban construction and architecture, the purpose of which is to clarify the terms and methodology by which the quality of urban development in the oral and written Latvian language can be consulted with competence;
2) empirical research of the quality of the urban environment, the aim of which is to create data sets and to raise conclusions based on them;
3) research design studies, the purpose of which is to show proposals for urban development and to study the quality of their options.
The aim of the service is to promote the development of research-based projects in the areas of Riga architecture, urban design, planning and drillanism.
