Brief description:
A submission for the granting of the status of a disadvantaged family (person) may be submitted to the social service of the local government and a certified statement of such status may be received. A statement regarding the status of a disadvantaged family (person) shall be required in order to receive social assistance and relief, if such has been determined by the local government. A family (person) may be recognised as disadvantaged if its average income per member of the family per month does not exceed EUR 180,00 in the last three months and does not own cash stocks, securities or property (except as specified in the binding regulations of the local government), it has not entered into a nutrition contract.

1. A person shall submit to the social service of the local government a submission regarding the recognition of a family (person) as low-income;
2. A local government social worker in co-operation with the submitter shall electronically draw up a declaration using the data in the State and local government information systems. The submitter shall sign the printout of the declaration prepared in the local government information system, attesting the veracity of the information provided in the declaration. The social work specialist of the local government shall certify the acceptance of the declaration.
3. A submitter who is a performer of economic activity shall be accompanied by a statement of income from an economic activity. The applicant who is a worker shall be accompanied by an employer's statement of remuneration. The information regarding the last full three calendar months prior to the submission of the application shall be indicated in the statement.
4. The applicant shall attach to the declaration an extract from each account of the open credit institution's payment or postal settlement system regarding the last full three calendar months' income and the payments received prior to the submission.
