Service requests
In order to obtain the EORI number, the EORI claim form shall be completed and signed:
• in the form of an electronic document (with a secure electronic signature) using the electronic mail address of the Customs Office, EORI@vid.gov.lv, MP.lietvediba@vid.gov.lv or customs inspection post, or
• in the form of an electronic document in the Electronic Declaration System of the SRS (EDS); or
• in paper form at the Customs Office (see www.vid.gov.lv under “Contacts”) or Customs Control Point, or send by post to the Customs Office address of the State Revenue Service – Taleja Street 1, Riga, LV-1978.
A temporary number shall be assigned to natural persons established outside the European Union or in another Member State of the European Union.
The request for a provisional number shall be submitted in a free form:
• in the form of an electronic document (with a secure electronic signature), using the electronic mail address of the Customs Office, EORI@vid.gov.lv, MP.lietvediba@vid.gov.lv or customs inspection post, or
• in the form of paper in the presence of the Customs Office or the customs inspection post or by post to the address of the Customs Office - Taleja Street 1, Riga, LV-1978.
The temporary number of natural persons registered in the Republic of Latvia shall not be requested separately, it shall be granted automatically in the EDS Electronic Customs Data Processing System of the SRS at the time of submission of the customs declaration.
