The service provides an opportunity to participate in the collection of signatures on voter initiatives,
organised pursuant to the Law on the Votes of the People, Law Initiation
and the European Citizens' Initiative.
A subscription for a voter initiative registered in the Central Election Commission may be made within 12 months from the registration of the initiative in the Central Election Commission.
Each voter's signature must be certified by a sworn notary within this 12-month period, at the place of declaration of residence in the local government, in the Orphan's Court, which performs notarial activities, by the head of the parish or city administration or in the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Latvia in foreign states by a consular official who is entitled to perform notarial functions.
