Brief description:
Information on shipments of waste within the system must be provided to the following persons:
1) the possessors of municipal, manufacturing, construction or hazardous waste who have received a permit for the management of waste and for which it is necessary to carry out shipments of waste; 2) domestic, manufacturing, construction or hazardous waste recycling, recovery or disposal activities; 3) waste traders or waste management intermediaries who organise the transport of municipal, production, construction or hazardous waste; (4) persons registered in the Enterprise Register of the Republic of Latvia who import the waste referred to in Article 3(2) of Regulation No 1013/2006 into the territory of Latvia for recycling or recovery; (5) persons registered in the Enterprise Register of the Republic of Latvia who export the waste referred to in Article 3(2) of Regulation No 1013/2006 from the territory of Latvia.
The manager and keeper of the State information system (hereinafter - APUS) for the transportation of waste shall be the State limited liability company “Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre” (hereinafter - LVGMC).
(1) to complete electronically the shipment registration card-waybill form by notifying the planned shipment and its commencement, the type and amount of waste to BE transported; (2) to confirm the activities with other USERS, indicating the amount of received, recycled or recovered municipal, production or hazardous waste received;, or to reject them; (3) to follow THE estimated balance sheet (the amount of waste from the user) FOR THE activities and shipments indicated by THE user; (4) to look at the reports on the shipments of waste carried out in which THE user is involved;
(5) retrieve the data referred to in points (3) and (4) above from THE APUS.
