An adult in Latvia is considered to be a person who has reached the age of 18 and becomes legally responsible for his or her actions. Only an adult in Latvia is allowed to obtain a driving licence, go to elections, get married without the consent of their parents or guardian, etc., but even before the eighteenth birthday there are significant age thresholds, such as 14 and 16 years, which offer more freedom and rights, as well as more responsibility.
Reaching legal age means widespread use of a wide variety of e-services that will make it easier to carry out day-to-day activities and communicate with the State.
