Livestock farming is an agricultural sector which includes rearing of domestic animals for the purpose of obtaining products of animal origin. Several types of livestock farming are distinguished: dairy farming, sheep farming, pig production, poultry, horse farming, beekeeping and animal farming. Occupation with livestock farming requires specific knowledge and skills, compliance with regulatory frameworks and also significant time-consuming. Therefore, the possibility of completing many formalities electronically is beneficial.
Animals purchased and sold must be in a herd and holding registered in the Agricultural Data Centre (LDC). Therefore, if you have decided to purchase or sell livestock, bee flocks, fish ponds, aquaculture farms, rabbits, nips, fur animals or other animals, you must have a registered herd and accommodation.
